Brian began his legal career with the Boston law firm of Murphy and Beane, where he focused in the areas of civil litigation, as primary counsel for the Jordan Marsh Department store chain. While with the firm, Brian began his career long specialization in the field of Worker’s Compensation.
Brian first joined Orlando & Associates in 1990 and remained as a litigation associate for eight years. His work included maritime personal injury, products liability and worker’s compensation.
In 1998, Brian left Orlando & Associates to seek his Master of Laws in Admiralty degree from Tulane University. He graduated from the program with distinction.
Following his time at Tulane University Law School, Brian spent one year with the United States Department of Justice, Admiralty and Aviation Section, in New York City.
In May 2000, Brian returned to Orlando & Associates to resume his litigation practice, with a continuing emphasis on a broad spectrum of personal injury litigation, including maritime torts; products liability; medical and legal malpractice, automobile, construction, and slip and fall accidents; business dispute; and worker’s compensation, in which he specializes.
He has also successfully represented companies and individuals against insurance companies that have failed to pay claims under various types of insurance policies.
In addition to features in a number of newspaper articles in the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, related to cases he has handled while at Orlando & Associates, Brian was featured in Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly in 2004.
