During her high school years, Amanda was president of the Debate team; Class Vice President for four years; a varsity cheerleader; and chosen by her peers to lead the Peer Educators and National Honor Society. As a junior, Amanda was selected by the faculty at MHS to represent the school at Girls State, in addition to being the recipient of the Harvard Book Prize. At Boston College, Amanda volunteered weekly at a church in South Boston, helping to run an after school program for neighborhood children whose parents were at work, and worked in several local high schools assisting teachers in their English departments-including in Brighton and Revere.

Amanda began her career as a high school English teacher at Manchester-Essex Regional High School, teaching British and American literature to 10th and 11th grade students. In the five years she worked as a teacher, she served as the faculty advisor to the student yearbook; National Honor Society, and Beta Society. She also was the co-coordinator for the high school’s MCAS testing program, as well as a faculty representative for NEASC-the New England Association of Schools and Colleges-where she learned about the accreditation process for New England high schools. While working as a teacher, Amanda also attained a Master of Arts in Teaching English from Salem State College, graduating in May of 2005.

Amanda began working at Orlando & Associates as an administrative assistant in January of 2006 on a part time basis. Her role at the firm grew to encompass marketing and legal assistant work, ultimately became a permanent, full time position as office manager. Amanda is also the firm’s representative to the Cape Ann Business Alliance.

Amanda is the proud mother to three sons. In June of 2017, Amanda was elected to be the MA GOP State Committeewoman for the 1st Essex and Middlesex District.
